I thought this was a fantastic game back in the day, it was extremely impressive for a SNES game, but in the end, much like The Last Resort on the Neo Geo, it was a game that impressed people more because of its technical wizardry than deepness of gameplay and levels. Looking back, Thunderforce IV on the genesis was actually better.
Thank gawd these 2 games have better engine sounds than Gran Turismo 5 & 6 (well, in the case of Assetto Corsa it's highly debatable), because in the visual department they barely hold a candle to Polyphony Digital' last gen outings, which bears testament to PD's strength in creating fascinating car modellizations and visually compelling circuits.

Couldn't agree more. Watching the PS4 Pro version of Rise of the Tomb Raider made me realize it's almost like an affordable pocket gaming rig, except with more and better exclusives and the convenience of a console.

The Xbox Scorpio IS indeed a new-gen console that doesn't say its name. Come on, have you seen the disparity with the Xbox One specs? 6x more powerful than the One? That is next-gen right there, whether you like it or not.

I don't remember the AC games being so washed out! Wow, that's quite a change! But not quite enough of a change either, save for the overhauled faces. The lack of 60fps is also difficult to excuse for a compilation of last-gen games, indeed.
It won't change much, based on the specs announced by MS the scorpio only has 43% extra power compared to the PS4 Pro. Are you really willing to wait a year and a half just for that? Oh wait, that picture you have for an avatar and all those Xs in your handle tell me you are, LOL.

Aww, no love for Tearaway Unfolded? And what about Alien Isolation? This one could really do with a patch to remove the jaggies on the PS4 Pro. These are so annoying. I know a lot of people are bothered by frame-rate drops, and I'm not at all (well except if it's really visible like in that scandal of a game that was Splinter Cell Double Agent on the PS3 back in 2007), but I care about jaggies, the lack thereof that is.

More like PS5. It's too late for a new revision of the PS4 now (after the slim & pro). Well, if any, it wouldn't be to increase the specs but just to make it more energy-efficient or something.
I called it the second they talked about it. They are fully aware they have lost this gen, so they're not even trying anymore, they just pretend it didn't happen by releasing yet again an all new generation of xbox consoles barely 3 years after the official start of this gen.
